Roberto
BONACCORSO

Roberto Bonaccorso is a musician, writer and musical instrument builder. He is originally from Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela and has lived in Seattle since 1997. He was a member and founder of the Latin septet MangoSon, the Mango Kings, and performs with the groups Manigua and the Afro-Peruvian ensemble De Cajón Project. Roberto is mostly self-taught, and plays cuatro, guitar, tres, mandolin and dabbles in percussion. A semi-professional luthier since 2009, Roberto has specialized in solid-body electric cuatros. Roberto has a B.A. in history from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, and has worked as a print journalist and public relations professional since 1990.
